The International Dance Academy. We are the only dance academy in the Bergen area that is privately owned and run by professional dancers. We are specialized in classical ballet and theatre dance and provide daily classes, for those who just love to dance or those who seek an opportunity to be fully trained for a future in professional dance. As well as our daily schedule we also offer private classes, training, coaching and audition technique.
Our mission is
to develop our students so that they can make worthwhile and effective
contributions to the community.
By providing positive professional training in a creative working environment, we lay down the foundations that enable students to develop personal and communal skills that can be used throughout their lives and applied to many professions. Our teaching system has been developed over years, as a culmination of experiencing a wide variety of methods and styles of teaching dance, at both school and professional levels through out the world. Our current training program is provided by Lorena and William, both ex professional dancers and teacher, who both carry a wide variety of dance -theatre experiences.
As a uniquely focused, goal orientated academy with specific aims, our expertise and teaching techniques in all of the dance forms presented by the Academy, puts us as the first choice for professional dance education.
Our goal is to establish a new dance environment that focuses on the development of a sustainable training program, that raises and maintains a high technical level of skills and theatrical abilities whilst maintaining the passion for dance.
In 2005 Lorena founded the International Academy of Classical Ballet, with the aim of establishing and promoting classical ballet in the Sotra area. In 2006 Lorena joined forces with her husband, William Walker, to create the International Dance Academy. The academy now promotes classical ballet and stage dance in and around the west Bergen Area.
